The contract is being issued for trapping within and around the Haast Tokoeka Kiwi Sanctuary. The sanctuary is located along the Haast-Jackson Bay Road between the Waiatoto and Arawhata Rivers and extends up onto the Haast Range. The trapping areas outside of the sanctuary include an area at the toe of the Selbourne Range, the true right of the Waiatoto River. The network includes alpine traps located between 900 – 1400m and roadside traps along the part of the Haast-Jackson Bay Road, the Waiatoto River Road and the Jackson River Roads.
