This ROI relates to Timaru Girls High School requiring the upgrade of accessible access and facilities around the site to enable the students to have access to all areas for learning which includes:-
Item 1 – stage access
The access to the stage is to be modified to enable a platform lift to be installed.

Item 2 – threshold lips (various around site)
Various door thresholds around the site are to have rubber ramps added to then to accommodate the 20-40mm step and provide ease of access.

Item 3 – change table
A new change table is to replace the existing.

Item 4 – canteen access
The deck by the canteen is to be extended across the paths and ramp access provided at each end.

Item 5 – room 13-17 access
The timber deck is to be extended across the concrete landing at the top of the stirs at the eastern end of the block to provide access to all rooms off the covered veranda.
A ramp is to be added to the veranda at the western end in place of three steps to enable access from adjoining passages to the veranda and subsequent rooms.
A new ramp is to be installed from the veranda to the lower ground level to enable access from this area.

Item 6 – second floor fire door width
The second floor passage fire door is to be replace with a new one to provide a larger door leaf and its to be placed on a hold open device.

Internal fire door on the ground floor of the science block are to be fitted with hold open devices to enable ease of access during normal day to day use.
