This Request for Tender (RFT) is an invitation to Panel Two members of the Physical Works Panels, to submit a tender for the upgrade of new and existing pedestrian and vehicle facilities situated at the following five sites: - College Hill Road, Signalised Pedestrian Crossing; - Westlake Girls College, Pedestrian Crossing and Improvements; - Kelmarna Avenue, Raised Zebra Crossing and Pedestrian Upgrades; - Killarney Street, Raised Zebra Crossing and Pedestrian Upgrades; - East Tamaki Road, Signalised Pedestrian Crossing; - Browns Road/Dalgety Drive, Intersection Layout and Pedestrian/Cycle Facilities Improvements. The project has 4 sites that are in close proximity to Schools in their respective area (St Marys College, Westlake Girls High School, Takapuna Primary School and St Pauls College). The intent of this package of works is to have these four projects completed during the School Holidays. This is to minimise the disruption to the Schools once the year begins and the sites of interest are safer for the community. This is a single-stage procurement process and will be evaluated using the lowest price conforming method (LPC). This Request for Tender (RFT) is to seek a suitably qualified contractor to undertake the minor improvement works for the sites mentioned above. The works included in this package are: - Location and protection of utility services. - Removal of existing earth materials, footpaths, kerb and channel and pavement. - Footpath construction and renewal. - Removal and construction of pram crossings. - Construction and installation of traffic crossing poles. - Installation of signalised traffic poles and associated service works. - Removal of obsolete traffic poles. - Kerb and channel upgrades. - Construction of catch pits and lead pipes into existing infrastructure. - Removal and construction of traffic islands. - Construction of speed tables. - Carriageway construction and reinstatement. - Pruning and planting of vegetation and plants. - Installation of line marking and signage. - Any associated ancillary works required.
