Auckland Transport is a Council Controlled Organisation (CCO) covering the Auckland region that extends from the mouth of the Kaipara Harbour in the north across the southern stretches of the North Auckland Peninsula, past the Waitakere Ranges and the isthmus of Auckland and across the low-lying land surrounding the Manukau Harbour. Auckland Transport is responsible for all of the region's transport services (excluding state highways), from roads and footpaths, to cycling, parking and public transport. Among its main tasks are: - To design, build and maintain Auckland's roads, ferry wharves, cycleways and walkways - Co-ordinate road safety and community transport initiatives such as school travel - Plan and fund rail, bus and ferry services across Auckland This Request for Tender is issued for Auckland Transport (AT). The aim of this process is to: - Invite Service Providers to submit a Tender Response to this RFT to provide PT Ferry Services in any of the eight separate Units as specified in the RPTP; - Specify the requirements for preparation and submission of a Tender Response; and - Specify the procedures and protocols governing the RFT. Auckland Transport will procure new ferry service contracts for the entire Auckland region in one single phase, therefore this RFT will be for the eight separate Units within the Auckland region.
