Long Bay Regional Park currently has a number of interconnected public toilet blocks. There have been an increasing number of park users, especially during the summer, and this can put pressure on the wastewater services. This project is part of a multi-phase upgrade of the Parks wastewater network. The upgrades include redirecting wastewater from the North Toilet Block to a new public wastewater connection, and connecting the Managers House and nearby Volunteers Rooms (which are presently utilising septic tanks and onsite wastewater disposal) to the new wastewater connection. The North Toilet Block wastewater is being redirected to make the overall network more resilient by separating it from the Central Toilet Block system.
