Hutt City Council (HCC) is currently preparing tender documents and will be seeking an experienced and competent contractor to carry out the Contract Works for the Wainuiomata Hill Road Safety Resurfacing on the Wainuiomata Hill Road which includes the roundabout at the intersection with Wainuiomata Hill Road, Wainuiomata and Parkway Road round abouts.

The Contract will be for an initial 3-year term from the date of acceptance until 30 June 2029 with the option of two possible 12-month renewals (on completion of the initial period) until 30 June 2030 and 30 June 2031 respectively, at the sole discretion of the principal.

This Contract is for the safety resurfacing and total pavement maintenance of the Wainuiomata Hill Road which is a Category C/level 3 road with traffic management requirements needing to meet NZTA NZGTTM requirements. Works include asphaltic concrete (AC), Calcined bauxite high friction surfacing, stone mastic asphalt (SMA), pavement reconstruction works including stabilised basecourse, asphaltic concrete pavement rehabilitation works, chip-sealing and roto-milling.

This tender will be evaluated under the guidance of NZTA/HCC procurement rules using the Price Quality method and will be advertised on GETS in early March 2026.
