WCC seeks a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to complete a gabion basket retaining wall for slip protection and associated enabling/auxiliary works. Of high importance is the management of stakeholder relationships and environmental protection.
The proposed new retaining wall works comprise:
1. Traffic Management & Site Setup – Implement temporary traffic control, locate and protect services, and establish the site with necessary erosion and sediment controls.
2. Stream Management – Divert the stream to facilitate safe construction.
3. Retaining Wall Construction – Install the gabion basket retaining wall as per the design specifications.
4. Pedestrian Bridge Installation – Replace the relevant section of the existing timber pedestrian bridge deck.
5. Subbase Upgrade – Replace the existing subbase fill with low-strength concrete as detailed in the drawings.
6. Completion & Compliance – Finalise construction, submit as-built records, PS3 certification, and complete the contract requirements.
