New Zealand Police is pleased to invite proposals for the provision of Fire Evacuation Trial Audits across our national property portfolio.
This contract will have an initial term of three years, with the option to extend for a further two years.
We are seeking responses from providers with proven experience and capability in managing and delivering fire evacuation trials on a nationwide scale. The successful provider will play a key role in supporting New Zealand Police to meet its obligations under the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Act 2017 and the Fire and Emergency New Zealand (Fire Safety, Evacuation Procedures, and Evacuation Schemes) Regulations 2018.
Currently, New Zealand Police is responsible for conducting fire evacuation trials at 115 sites nationwide.
Pre-Condition for Participation
To be eligible to submit a response, providers must be able to demonstrate that by 1 April 2026 they will have robust and reliable capability to conduct evacuation trials at all sites listed in the Site List provided with the RFP. This may include the use of subcontractors.
Scope of Services
The successful provider will be expected to:
• Coordinate and conduct trial evacuations at all designated sites
• Provide timely audit feedback to the nominated NZ Police contact
• Notify Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) upon completion of each trial
• Deliver regular reporting to NZ Police on planned and actual contract performance
