The RNZN DTS train RNZN personnel to carry out a diverse range of diving tasks. This training contributes to the NZDF output of providing an adaptable force that is able to respond quickly to sensitive security events in both the land and maritime domain.

RNZN DTS personnel have varying levels of diving experience ranging from novice to intermediate so will require a provider that can cater to a diverse range of commercial diving experience levels.

RNZN DTS is seeking proposals from qualified commercial diver training providers to deliver a comprehensive training program to RNZN divers, enabling them to safely perform underwater tasks in accordance with accepted WorksafeNZ industry standards, i.e. (IMCA, ADCI, ADAS, etc) and align to the AS/NZ standards.

RNZN DTS, currently delivers diver training align to the Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme (ADAS) training model as defined in the NZDF Diver Training Policy – Diving Qualifications and Competency, as the adopted model of choice. There is currently two parties responsible for diver training in the RNZN: the external training provider and the RNZN diver training school through the RNZN Fleet Personal Training Organization (FPTO). The flow of training works seamlessly between these two parties and needs to be maintained with any future provider, ensuring the ADAS model continues to be applied.

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is seeking responses from the market to provide information and capability relating to the requirements detailed in this RFP.

The proposed term of the Agreement will be for 5 years + 2 + 2 years.
