The upgraded Waihoehoe Road includes a new vehicle bridge over the railway line, providing improved access to Drury Station. The existing Great South Road and Waihoehoe Road roundabout, and Kath Henry Lane intersection will both be upgraded and signalisation to improve safety and operation.
The Waihoehoe Road Upgrade: Construction comprise:
• Demolition of existing buildings at 232 Great South Road
• Construction of a new road broad bridge over the North Island Main Trunk on Waihoehoe Road, adjacent to the existing bridge, offline and raised to allow sufficient clearance for electrification and future rail tracks
• Construction of new signalisation intersections on Waihoehoe Road at Great South Road / Norrie Road intersection, and Kath Henry Lane Intersection
• Demolition of existing bridge over the NIMT and removal of the temporary hoarding
Tenderer’s Briefing : A tenderer’s briefing will be held at 1:30pm Wednesday 29 October. To attend, please send your contact details to [REDACTED] before 12pm Tuesday 28 October, with email subject: Waihoehoe Road Upgrade: Construction Tenderer Briefing, and a TEAMS invitation link will be provided. A copy of the presentation will also be made available on GETS after the briefing.
Site Visit : A site visit will be held at 2pm Thursday 30 Oct. To attend, please register your interest by contacting [REDACTED] by 10am Tuesday 29 Oct. Attendees are to meet the Design Consultant GHD at 2 Tui Street, Drury.

All tender communications are to be submitted through the GETS Questions and Answers portal, except for your registration to the tenderer’s briefing and the site visit.
All responses to tender questions/clarifications will be answered by Notice to Tenderer which will be available in the GETS addenda.
Tender submissions shall be uploaded to GETS eTender box in a single file (pdf format).
The GETS file upload limit is 50MB. The files should be labelled:
